Since 1983, April was declared the National Abuse Prevention Month. In 2020, the Archdiocese of Los Angeles came together for nine days of prayer and reflection for those healing from sexual abuse. Although we were unable to physically gather, parishes around the archdiocese led us in a novena organized by the Archdiocese’s Victims Assistance Ministry, which was offered in support of all sexual abuse survivors – those harmed in their families, or the church, or the community at large.
In a time where prayer is most needed, we thank you for joining us in this novena and for those parishes that led us in prayer.
